Goa, India - Sunset

A bit about Goa, India

Goa, India, located in West India has a long and interesting history. It shares it’s boarder with the state of Karnataka on then east and south, Maharashtra on the Northern boarder, and the Arabian sea on the west coast. In part, present day Goa is also known from the 60s and 70s as a whole sub-culture developed over the years from people all over the world, to include USA, EU, Israel, and more recently it has become very popular for Russian tourists as well.

In my 20 years of visiting in India, this was only my 2nd time in Goa, however it is a place I have decided to add to my regular travels while in India. Although I have only spent a week or so each visit, that short amount of time has proved extremely refreshing and very rejuvenating.

What a perfect way to describe the place as it is very different from the North of India, where it can be difficult to get a break from the bustle of traffic, the resulting noise pollution from the cars and loudspeakers, and even the amount of people around you… Goa is not only the smallest state in India in terms of area, but also the 4th least populated state.
